As part of an estimated total project cost, of more than £1.5million, XCL’s scope of supply included configuration of not only the four off Siemens S7 PLC’s and HMI’s systems, but also included complete configuration and programming of the three ABB palletising robots.  The palletising system completely automates box and carton handling form eight production lines and incorporates three pallet stacking robots. Completed pallets are tracked through to a high speed stretch wrapping station and dispensing operation systems. Using state of the art technology, including fully automatic Robot pallet building, tracking and sequencing completed pallets and laser guided shuttle cars in the processing of 22 cases per minute.
