David Weatherhead, XCL’s Sales Manager, can boast a two hour cycle ride both to and from the office and, at the age of 63, makes the commute seem effortless. David is an active sportsman, and as a leading spokesperson for the 3 Peaks Running Association, was instrumental in planning the organisation’s 2008 annual meet in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, an event sponsored by XCL.
An example against unnecessary Carbon Dioxide emissions, David is held in high regard for his contribution to our Green Mission here at XCL House. Steadfast in our environmental ethics, and proud of a committed team that supports this, in light of new government legislations such as The Climate Change Bill, we at XCL can say that it is not just our Software that is 21st Century.

2008 has seen XCL Technology expand in a difficult economic climate. We have taken on a new Sales and Marketing Director to publicise the growing success of Xcontrols and XLogix, our Process Controls and MES software solutions. We have seen the opening of a new office and team of software developers, who have integrated with the existing team as seamlessly as our software.
We look forward to further growth in 2009.

One of our senior engineers, Andrew Chislett, enjoys playing a practical joke or five on the junior engineers at XCL House. Working for XCL, Andy has travelled the globe and, as penance for his wicked sense of humour, has spent three of his 28 birthdays working onsite for Cadbury’s in Egypt. This year, Andy spent his birthday working onsite for Golden Acres in Preston.
So, had the trickery of 2008 seen Karma favour our jovial engineer? Well, that all depends. Personally, I’d take the sunshine every time.
Happy Birthday, Andy.
